Thank you for your interest in the SPARCC lab! Our lab is housed within the CSUSM Department of Psychology, is dedicated to improving community-based services and supports for individuals with autism and their families. We examine practice delivery in community settings and study strategies and adaptations to support delivery of person-centered, neurodiversity affirming, and high quality care fitting of varied child and family contexts. We apply methods from implementation science and related fields (e.g., clinical psychology, applied behavior analysis, developmental science) in our work.
Dr. Jobin is the lab director and principal investigator. She is a licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst with expertise in the treatment and evaluation of autism and related childhood disorders, parent-mediated treatment, and naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions.
Student researchers assist with literature reviews, participant recruitment and enrollment, data collection and data entry, behavioral coding, and other related tasks. Advanced students may be involved in the delivery of intervention procedures to study participants.
